web and interactive media design
Web sites and online experiences communicate the brand of Biola University to all audiences and set new standards of excellence in higher education. We provide client services through the entire design process: consultation, information architecture, usability testing, content management solutions, production, maintenance and metrics.
requesting a web site
UCM designs and develops a limited number of web sites each year, based on our resources and scope of projects. For new or redesigned web sites, we will schedule a meeting with you to talk about the foundational aspects of the project: your target audience, the purpose of the site, and the content.
Unlike other media, web sites cannot be designed until the content is finalized. After the initial project meeting, the first goal will be to develop a site plan so everyone knows what content is needed. Once the entirety of the content is provided, the design and development phase will begin.
A project can take anywhere from two weeks to six months or more, depending on complexity and the team's project load. To get started, please use the job request form and we'll be in touch!
Please note: All web sites for external audiences (prospective students, community, general public, etc) must be approved by UCM prior to being published. Please contact us at the beginning of any project you are considering so that we can provide the standards and guidelines for design and implementation.
requesting updates and minor projects
Requests for minor updates, like adding content, fixing typos, adding images or documents to existing website, should be sent directly to ucm dot web at biola dot edu (not individual staff members, as these go into our job tracking system). Typical turnaround time is 24-48 hours.
