Next Steps in the Strategic Planning Process

I believe we are off to a strong start in refreshing the Strategic Plan.

I would like to structure the Strategic Plan into two distinct parts: 1) opening narrative/"conviction" section, and 2) initiatives/"courage" section.

I am suggesting that we organize this second section of the Strategic Plan around five initiatives -- broad statements of big steps that support the development and realization of Biola's vision. The five initiatives are listed in the attachment.

1. Improve educational excellence
2. Enhance Facilities/IT
3. Position as a National/Global University
4. Optimize Student Enrollment
5. Funding the Future

The assignment now is to go back to the initiatives drafted a year ago and to revise, update, and refresh them, to incorporate the new input from the answers to the questions and the Centennial Conversation papers.
