Long-term disability insurance (LTD), through Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company of America, is available to all regular employees who work at least 30 hours per week, for at least 10 months of the year.
Should you become disabled for an extensive period, at the beginning of the seventh month of disability, LTD insurance will provide 60% of your salary—less any disability benefit payments provided by Social Security, State Disability Insurance (SDI), or Workers’ Compensation Insurance—up to $7,500 per month, until age 65. Biola pays 100% of the premium for LTD.
