Cook Department Scholarship

Biola-funded scholarship to assist Cook students who have demonstrated financial need, available for the fall and spring semesters.

  • Types of Aid:
    • 1/3 reduction for cross-cultural ministers
    • 2/3 spouse reduction
    • Reduction for SIL students
    • 1/3 reduction for extension students and field courses
    • Additional D.Miss Scholarships
    • Additional aid, depending on availability and need
  • Amount:
    • Varies, based on established financial need
  • Deadline:
    • Priority deadline for fall semester and full year: April 1, 2018
    • Priority deadline for spring semester only: November 1, 2018
    • (Students may apply after the priority deadlines, and will be awarded as funds are available)
  • Renewal:
    • Student must re-apply each year


Church Matching Scholarship

Biola-funded match to church sponsorship.

  • Amount:
    • Biola will match up to $750.
  • Deadline:
    • October 1 is the deadline for students who attend the fall semester only, or both fall and spring semesters
    • March 1 is the deadline for students who attend only the spring semester
  • Application:
    • Submit Church Matching Scholarship Application for appropriate aid year, and attach a church sponsorship check made out to Biola University by the scholarship deadline
    • Confirmed financial aid file by the scholarship deadline, which includes a completed FAFSA (online) and all requested forms, international students exempt.
  • Renewal:
    • Student must re-apply each year.


Biola Missionary Scholarship

Biola-funded scholarship to assist students who demonstrate a calling on their lives for cross-cultural missions.

  • Eligibility:
    • Current or returning students
    • Applicants must be continuing students (one semester completed in graduate program) at the time they apply
    • Must maintain full-time enrollment in a traditional program
    • Special programs not eligible: Doctor of Ministry, MA Apologetics, MA Science and Religion, Chiang Mai, Kiev, Feinberg Messianic Program - NYC, ELP, MBA, Talbot PhD, MA TESOL Online, MA ED Online, Education Certificates Online, Applied Psychology
    • US Citizens and permanent residents only
    • FAFSA must be filed and sent to Biola by application deadline

      • Search and complete "Biola Missionary Scholarship - New Applicant" application
    • Renewing Applicants:
      • Complete General Application
      • Search for and complete “Biola Missionary Scholarship – Renewing Applicant" application
  • Renewal:

    Scholarship may be renewed for one additional year. Renewal amount is $6,000.
